10 years and counting… April is an anniversary month for us here. I still have several of the first postcard mailers that went out advertising our starting date of April 6, 2006. Can you believe that this was 10 years ago? Hardingville Bible Church targeted the Alloway/Mannington area as a place to plant a new independent, Bible-believing church. The early stages involved Thursday evening Bible Studies at the home of Chris and Lila Fraser. Those weekly times included singing, prayer, a 30 minute Bible study, and a time of sweet fellowship as a snack was enjoyed by all. Over these years, God has been pleased to lead, provide in awesome ways, and stir in hearts about spiritual matters. It was not until April 11, 2010 that we formally organized as a local church with 14 charter members. Now it is April 2016 and we are putting down roots in the heart of Alloway in our own facility. I stand in awe at God’s works! It continues to be my passion that TBC be a place where people can hear the truth of God’s Word faithfully taught and proclaimed, can enjoy good Christian fellowship, and that we would seek to win the unregenerate to true saving faith, and that God’s people would grow in their walk with the Lord.
The TBC Ministry Statement:
TBC exists to take God’s truth to the World, to make true disciples of Jesus Christ, and to mature the members of His body, the Church, for displaying His likeness and glorifying God our Father.
