Dear Church Family and Friends of TBC,

Thanks for your prayers for us while we were attending the annual conference of the Fellowship of Fundamental Bible Churches are Tri-State Bible Camp. We returned yesterday safely after a good time. We had a wonderful time seeing old friends and making new ones. The kids especially liked riding their bikes, playing games, going on a wagon ride, and hearing a missionary story each day. I am grateful that nothing too eventful happened in my absence like in years past!!!

Remember the Eachus’ and Cora Yakubovksy as they finish up with various events and competitions at the Salem County Fair. I stopped by yesterday for a bit with Anna and Andrew to chat and walk around. I saw and heard some really good things about the Eachus’ and Cora getting awards.

As we look ahead to Sunday, I will continue our series in 1 Peter with a message on 2:11-12 – “Life as a Pilgrim.” For our evening service, we will have a veteran missionary with us, Bob Depue. The Depues have been serving in Argentina for many years. Bob will be sharing about their work and opening the Word with us. We will be collecting a love offering; so plan and prayer about your part in that.

Let me encourage you to be in God’s house Sunday and be in prayer for visitors!

Other notes:
– The Hagers will be away on Sunday as Bob is filling the pulpit at another church.

– Our church volleyball night is coming up, August 18th from 6:30-? All are welcome, even if you want to watch, that is fine! We will have snacks and drinks for all. Come for this time of friendly, fun fellowship. Invite a friend!

– One of the items of business off the FFBC conference this week was the passing of several resolutions. I will be including in the Sunday bulletin one resolution for the next 3 Sundays. You can also read them here…
