Dear Church Family and Friends of TBC,

Since the Philadelphia Eagles are in Sunday’s Super Bowl, there is a ton of local excitement and coverage on area channels. While I personally enjoy watching games when I can, I only wish people would get more excited about being in God’s house weekly with God’s people around God’s Word.  Let me encourage you to pray about and anticipate meeting together this Sunday.

In our morning service, I will speak from 1 Peter 4:5-6 on “A Right Response to Ridicule.” We will also remember the Lord’s death through communion together. For our 6 PM evening service, we will have a special treat/ something different as we hear extended salvation testimonies from Bob and Barb Hager.

Other notes:

– Tomorrow is our Men’s Breakfast at 8 AM. Invite a friend! If you did not sign up, please just let us know if you are coming.

– We have been praying for Pastor Jerry Hill, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Carney’s Point. Here is a recent communication from the church… “Precious church family, Pastor Jerry and Grace found out yesterday that his cancer levels are too high and that his iron and platelets are too low to continue treatments 😪. He will be going on hospice and stopping dialysis as well, so we will probably have another week or two with him before He’s with Jesus ❤️. He’s happy for himself, he’s fought a long, difficult fight and he’s ready, but just sad for us, to see us have more grief and pain over him. If anyone would like to write him a note or letter, Karis is collecting them for us to read to him over these precious days. You can email, mail, or private message her, and she’ll send you her info privately.
Thank you for all your love and prayers. 💕Please pray for his family to make the most of their time with him, and for him to have a peaceful departure in his sleep.

– The Ladies’ Book Study and Fellowship is Tuesday at 6:30 at the Thomas’ home. All are welcome. If you have not received a copy of the new book, please see Dawn Field on Sunday. The cost for the book is just $4.
